Mariam Mehelay
I’m now a full-time second-year midwifery student at Toronto Metropolitan University, and I’m grateful to be studying something I truly enjoy. Outside of school, I love shopping, going to cafés, and hanging out with my family.
Desiree Hutchinson
Desiree Hutchinson is a 2nd year student of the Midwifery Education Program at McMaster University. She has worked in healthcare for a few years from an assistant in an optical lab in Jamaica to a medical device reprocessing technician and operating room attendant at medical facilities here in Ontario. AMMA Midwives is her first placement in her clinical training and she is looking forward to working in a multicultural community. Outside of midwifery, Desirée enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her husband and friends
